About Lifelines
Lifelines is an experiential learning program operated by UVA students and trained staff. Our goal is to help students and campus leaders grow in relationship with each other, in relationship with God, in leadership and in character development. In an attempt to address the diverse aspects of the growth process we take a holistic approach by including the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of growth. All of our programs are interactive and include briefing and debriefing discussions that encourage communication, authenticity, risk-taking and application.
Lifelines offers both outdoor trips and learning activities to help people grow in the areas of bonding, team building, trust, appropriate handling of success and failure, leadership skills, and personal awareness. We operate on the premise that we were created to be relational. Unfortunately our relationships are often unhealthy and dysfunctional. This negatively affects our friendships, teams, dating lives, spirituality, and leadership development.
Our Lifelines student leaders and staff will meet with you to discuss your group’s desired objectives and design a custom program that addresses the needs of your group. Programs vary in their length and can be scheduled any day of the week. For the most rewarding experience consider an overnight trip. The extra time commitment will be well worth the growing experience. It is our goal to serve the campus community by offering all of our services for free or minimal cost.
